Luxury

Parque Lleras, Medellin

Luxury sits on Calle 10 in El Poblado, occupying a dark, narrow space that opens into a two-level dance floor with industrial-style exposed ductwork and moody blue lighting. The ground floor holds the main bar and a DJ booth elevated behind a glass partition. Upstairs, a mezzanine wraps around the room with VIP booths and bottle service tables overlooking the dance floor below. Capacity runs around 400 on a busy night. The club books international electronic and house DJs alongside Medellin-based talent, and the sound system is one of the better installations in the Lleras area. The crowd trends fashion-forward, with locals and foreigners mixing on the dance floor. Luxury positions itself as the upscale alternative to the reggaeton-heavy clubs surrounding the park. Dress codes are loosely enforced but flip-flops and athletic wear will get you turned away at the door. The venue runs a solid cocktail program behind the bar, though most people stick to bottles and mixers at their tables.

Full Review

Luxury fills a gap in the Parque Lleras scene. Most clubs in the area run heavy on reggaeton, which is fine if that's your thing, but Luxury offers an alternative for people who want house and techno in a proper club setting. The sound system carries weight without being painful, and the DJ booth setup suggests the owners actually care about the music.

The ground floor is where most of the action happens. The bar runs along one wall and the dance floor fills the center. By 1 AM on a Saturday, you're shoulder to shoulder down here. The mezzanine upstairs is the smarter move. VIP tables line the railing and give you a view of the floor below while keeping you out of the crush. Bottle prices start at 250,000 COP, which splits reasonably among a group.

The crowd is a mix of well-dressed Colombians and foreigners who've been in Medellin long enough to know the scene. You won't find the same tourist-heavy mix as Dulce Jesus Mio or Vintrash. The vibe is more intentional. People come here because they want to dance to house music, not because they stumbled in from the park.

Service at the bar can be slow when it's packed, which is the main drawback. If you're not at a table, budget extra time for drink orders. The bathrooms stay reasonably clean by Medellin club standards. Security at the door is present but not aggressive.
