Artesian Rooftop Bar
Artesian Rooftop Bar sits on the 65th floor of The Langham Jakarta hotel, part of the SCBD skyline on Jalan Kebangsaan. The bar occupies a corner of the hotel's premium F&B program and operates as a conversation-focused upscale cocktail bar rather than a late-night drinking venue. Floor-to-ceiling windows deliver panoramic views across SCBD, Senayan, and into the broader Jakarta skyline. Seating is split between booth-style window seats, a bar counter, and a small outdoor terrace weather-permitting. The cocktail program borrows from the Artesian brand's international reputation (the parent bar at The Langham London has been internationally ranked for years) and runs a rotating seasonal menu plus classics. This is a quiet, premium venue in every sense and functions as a different register entirely from the SCBD club scene.

Insider Tip
Book a window table at sunset; the light on the Jakarta skyline through the golden hour is the reason to come. The seasonal cocktail menu is better than the classics here; the bartenders are clearly more invested in the house program. The bar snacks are priced like main courses, so eat dinner first or at the Langham's lower-floor restaurants.
Full Review
Artesian Rooftop Bar at The Langham is one of the few Jakarta rooftop bars that actually earns its elevation. The 65th-floor setting is substantially higher than the standard 20-to-40-story rooftop bars that dominate the SCBD skyline bar market, and the view across Jakarta at sunset and after dark is genuinely memorable. The bar occupies a defined space within the Langham's F&B offering rather than operating as a standalone venue, which means the service standards reflect the hotel's broader operation.
The room design is restrained. Dark wood, soft lighting, a cocktail bar with a curved counter facing out into the room, and booth-style window seating aligned so every guest has a view. The outdoor terrace is small and only usable on dry evenings given Jakarta's humidity and frequent rain. Most guests stay inside.
The cocktail program is the second reason to come. The Artesian brand carries weight internationally, and the Jakarta bar runs a rotating menu developed by the house team with seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients incorporated into otherwise classical cocktail structures. I had a drink built around smoked cempedak and a second using local pandanus-infused gin. Both were properly balanced and technically well-executed. The classics menu covers the standard ground with care rather than flair.
Crowd composition is almost entirely business guests at The Langham, couples on occasion dates, and some well-heeled Jakarta professionals using the bar as a pre-dinner stop. There are no large groups and no bachelor party energy. Service is attentive without being performative.
Pricing is the highest tier of Jakarta rooftop bars, though comparable with Lantai Selatan at The Apurva Kempinski or Skye at Menara BCA. A glass of Champagne and a cocktail easily approaches a million rupiah for two people, which is the cost of the format. The view and the drink quality justify that for guests who are in Jakarta for the purpose.
Compared to the other SCBD rooftops, Artesian is the most conversation-focused and the least party-oriented. It functions as a proper cocktail bar with a view rather than a rooftop club.
