Swillhouse
Swillhouse is an R&B and hip-hop focused nightclub inside the Fairgrounds complex in SCBD, part of the multi-venue project that has established Fairgrounds as one of Jakarta's most consistently programmed nightlife addresses. The room is mid-sized by Jakarta standards, holding perhaps 400 guests at capacity, with a dark interior, a DJ booth positioned against one wall, a dance floor directly in front, and booth seating along the perimeter. The venue runs Thursday through Saturday nights, and the booking leans heavily on Indonesian and regional R&B, hip-hop, and Afrobeats DJs plus occasional international tour stops. The crowd is mostly Jakarta young professionals, creative-industry workers, and regional visitors who follow the hip-hop scene. This is a standard upscale urban-music nightclub, not a companion-format venue.

What to Expect
A dark room with minimal bright lighting, the DJ booth backlit against one wall, a sunken dance floor, booths raised above the dance floor on the perimeter, and a sound system tuned for R&B and hip-hop bass. Crowd density builds quickly after 23:30.
Dark, bass-forward, and musically focused. The crowd dances rather than stands around.
R&B, hip-hop, Afrobeats, dancehall, and occasional neo-soul sets; Indonesian and regional DJs with occasional international tour stops
Smart casual to dressy urban. No shorts, no sandals, clean shoes and collared or fitted shirts expected. The urban-streetwear register is more accepted here than at The H Club.
Hip-hop and R&B fans, travelers wanting a curated urban-music night, solo visitors comfortable with the dance-floor focus, groups booking bottle service in a mid-sized room
Cards accepted (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), cash in IDR, QRIS for Indonesian apps

Insider Tip
The booth reservation system runs through WhatsApp direct to the venue; book at least a week ahead for Saturdays. Thursday nights often carry the best DJ bookings at lower door prices. If you value the dance floor over the bottle-service booths, arrive right at 22:30 before the pre-booked tables push the floor capacity.
Full Review
Swillhouse is one of the handful of Jakarta clubs where the booking program actually matches the musical identity. R&B, hip-hop, and Afrobeats are the entire programming spine, and the venue has stayed consistent about that since opening. No EDM filler nights, no commercial house rescue sets when the booking cancels. This consistency is what has built the crowd, which is the most genre-focused audience of any Jakarta club I've been to.
The room design supports the music. Dark walls, minimal lighting outside the DJ booth's backlighting and a few moving heads, a sound system tuned for low-end presence and vocal clarity. The dance floor is sunken relative to the booth seating around the perimeter, which gives dancers a slight amphitheater effect and encourages the floor to fill rather than ringing the edges. Booths are intimate rather than massive, and the bottle-service culture doesn't dominate the room in the way it does at The H Club.
I went on a Friday with a regional DJ booking, and the room was full by 00:30. The crowd was perhaps 70 percent Indonesian, with a mix of regional visitors from Singapore and KL plus a visible expat contingent. Dress skewed urban: fitted shirts, clean sneakers, some denim. The energy on the floor was among the best I've experienced in a Jakarta club; the DJ ran through a set that blended Kendrick, Burna Boy, Jazmine Sullivan, and some local Indonesian hip-hop, and the room moved through all of it.
Drink prices are in line with the SCBD club range, which means high. Beer at 85000 IDR and cocktails nearing 240000 IDR adds up fast. Bottle service is the way most groups end up drinking, and the table minimums are lower than The H Club.
Compared to its Fairgrounds neighbor Zoo Club (which runs house and techno), Swillhouse is genre-specific in a different way and draws a different crowd. Both rooms work in parallel and many guests split their night between them.
The Neighborhood
Swillhouse is inside the Fairgrounds complex on Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto, part of the SCBD district. Fairgrounds also hosts Zoo Club Jakarta and Bengkel Space, making the compound one of Jakarta's densest single-address nightlife clusters. The surrounding area includes the SCBD office towers, Pacific Place mall, and several hotels.
Getting There
Jakarta MRT to Senayan or Istora Mandiri station, then a short GoCar or Grab ride (20000-40000 IDR) to Fairgrounds. Direct GoCar or Grab from central Jakarta runs 40000-90000 IDR. Valet parking available. TransJakarta Corridor 9 stops on Gatot Subroto, but late-night frequency is limited and GoCar is easier for departures after 02:00.
