After School Bar
After School Bar is one of the newer go-go bars on Perimeter Road, opened in the early 2020s as part of a small wave of fresh venues trying to inject energy into the quieter side of the Angeles City entertainment scene. The bar uses a schoolgirl theme, with staff in plaid skirts and knee-high socks, and the interior features chalkboard walls and desk-style seating. It is a single-level space seating about 30 people, with a small stage and a roster of 10 to 15 dancers. The theme is executed with a sense of humor rather than taken too seriously. Bar fines are among the most affordable in Angeles City at 1,500 to 2,000 PHP for short time. Lady drinks cost 180 PHP. Beer runs 70 PHP for a San Miguel. The bar draws a younger demographic than many Perimeter Road venues, including backpackers and first-time visitors to Angeles City who are testing the waters before heading to the pricier Fields Avenue bars.

Full Review
After School Bar brings a bit of creative energy to Perimeter Road, which otherwise trends toward plain beer bars with minimal decoration. The schoolgirl theme is tongue-in-cheek: chalkboards on the walls invite visitors to write messages, the seating mimics school desks, and the staff play along with the concept.
The bar is small. On a Wednesday evening, there were maybe 8 customers and 12 dancers, which felt comfortable given the space. The stage is compact, and performances are simple one-at-a-time rotations. No choreography, no group numbers. The appeal is in the theme and the pricing, not the production.
At 70 PHP for a beer and 180 PHP for a lady drink, After School Bar is cheaper than almost anything on Fields Avenue. The bar fine of 1,500 to 2,000 PHP is the lowest I encountered anywhere in Angeles City. These prices attract a younger, more budget-conscious crowd than the expat regulars at neighboring bars.
Service was friendly and relaxed. The mamasan was new and still finding her rhythm, but she was honest about pricing and did not attempt any upsells. The chalkboard walls were covered in messages from previous visitors, creating a scrapbook effect that adds character. After School Bar is not going to replace Fields Avenue as anyone's main destination, but it is a fun, cheap side trip that adds variety to a Perimeter Road evening.
