Band posters from decades of live shows cover every wall. The bar counter has the worn-down patina of a million elbows leaning on it. The stage is just big enough for a four-piece band.
On a Saturday night, a Filipino cover band was playing a set that moved from the Eraserheads to Nirvana to Bruno Mars. The musicianship was strong, and the small room amplified the energy. About 40 people filled the space, mostly in their twenties, singing along and passing beer bottles.
The drink prices are student-friendly. Beer at 70 PHP and cocktail promos that sometimes drop to 80 PHP make it possible to have a full evening for under 500 PHP. The weekly beer pong tournament on Wednesday attracts a competitive crowd that takes the game more seriously than you might expect.
