Pink Panther
Pink Panther is one of Patpong's longest-running go-go bars, operating on the Patpong 1 strip since the early days of the district's transformation into an entertainment zone. The venue occupies a narrow ground-floor space with a single stage running along one wall and bar seating on the other. Capacity is around 35 to 40 customers when full. The interior hasn't been updated in years, which gives it an authentic, time-worn character that newer bars can't replicate. Pink neon signage marks the entrance, and the Pink Panther cartoon character appears on various surfaces inside. Around 10 to 15 dancers work each shift, with a mix of veterans who've been at the bar for years and newer staff. The bar represents Patpong's old guard, a survivor from an era when this strip was Bangkok's undisputed nightlife center. It doesn't try to compete with the flashier venues on Sukhumvit and is better for it.

Full Review
Pink Panther is what Patpong used to be. Walking in feels like stepping back a couple of decades, and that's not a criticism. The narrow room, the single stage, the neon glow, the veteran staff who've seen every type of customer walk through the door; it all adds up to an authentic experience that the renovated competition can't match.
The bar's size means it fills up quickly on busy nights, and the intimate setting puts you close to the stage and the other customers. During the week, it's possible to have the place nearly to yourself, which is when the staff are most relaxed and the conversations most interesting.
Drinks are priced at the lower end of Patpong's range. Beer at 150 THB and lady drinks at 170 THB undercut the larger bars on the strip. The bar fine of 700 THB is competitive. Bills have been straightforward on every visit, with no padding or surprise charges.
The lineup is smaller than what you'll find at King's Castle or Black Pagoda, but the workers here tend to be more experienced and more engaging conversationalists. If you're looking for spectacle, go elsewhere. If you want a quiet beer in a bar that actually feels like Patpong, Pink Panther is the choice.
