Thigh Bar
Thigh Bar sits on Patpong 2, the quieter of the two parallel streets that make up the Patpong entertainment district. The bar is compact, seating around 25 to 30 customers along a short stage and a bar counter. The interior is straightforward, no theme, no elaborate decor, just a clean space with decent lighting and a sound system that keeps the music at a conversational level. Around 8 to 12 dancers work each shift, rotating between the stage and the floor. Patpong 2 has a different character from the main strip. The foot traffic is lighter, the touts are less aggressive, and the overall pace is slower. Thigh Bar reflects that. Drink prices sit below the Patpong 1 average, and the staff take a more relaxed approach to customer interactions. The venue draws a mix of visitors who stumbled over from Patpong 1 and regulars who specifically seek out the quieter side street.

Full Review
Thigh Bar is the kind of place you find when you're tired of being shouted at by touts on Patpong 1 and decide to explore the parallel street. Patpong 2 is calmer by a wide margin, and Thigh Bar embodies that calm.
The bar itself is small and simple. A short stage, a bar counter, some tables, and enough space for maybe 25 people. The lighting is softer than the neon-heavy bars on the main strip, and the music stays at a level where you don't need to shout. Dancers rotate through short sets, and the workers who approach your table do so without urgency.
Pricing is where Thigh Bar shines. Beer at 130 THB is notably cheaper than the 150 to 190 THB you'll pay on Patpong 1. Lady drinks at 160 THB and a bar fine of 600 THB make this one of the most affordable options in the entire Patpong district. Bills are calculated by hand, but they've been accurate in my experience.
The trade-off is a smaller lineup and earlier closing time. The bar winds down around 01:00, about 30 minutes before the Patpong 1 venues. The dancer selection is limited, especially on weeknights. But for a budget evening or a break from the intensity of the main strip, it fills the role well.
The Neighborhood
Patpong 2 runs parallel to the main Patpong 1 strip. The Surawong Road end has several LGBT-oriented bars. Silom Road and its BTS/MRT connections are at the southern end.
Getting There
BTS to Sala Daeng or MRT to Si Lom. Walk north from Silom Road; Patpong 2 is the second parallel street on your right.
