Go-Go Bar

Hollywood

Nana Plaza, Bangkok

Hollywood occupies a second-floor unit in Nana Plaza, decorated in a cinema theme with movie posters, film reel accents, and a marquee-style entrance. The bar seats around 40 customers along a central stage that runs about 8 meters. Red velvet curtains frame the stage, and the lighting shifts to match different show segments. Around 15 to 20 dancers work each shift, with show times starting at 21:00 and repeating at roughly hourly intervals. The venue has developed a loyal following among expats who live in the Sukhumvit area and visit regularly during the week. Weeknight crowds are smaller but more relaxed, and the staff recognize returning faces. The cinema theme extends to the drink menu, which uses Hollywood movie titles for cocktails. Standard beer and spirits are priced at the Nana Plaza average. The bar has been running under this concept for several years and has settled into a consistent operation that doesn't rely on gimmicks to fill seats.

The show at 21:00 is the best-produced of the nightly sets. Weeknight visits offer more personal attention from staff. The themed cocktails are overpriced; stick to beer or standard spirits.

Full Review

Hollywood sits in a comfortable middle ground within Nana Plaza. It's not the cheapest bar, not the most expensive, not the loudest, and not the quietest. What it does well is consistency. The shows run on time, the drinks are properly made, the bills are accurate, and the staff remember your name if you come back.

The cinema theme gives the bar a distinct look without feeling forced. Movie posters line the walls, the stage curtains are genuine velvet, and the lighting design is more considered than the standard colored-LED approach used by most of the complex. The themed cocktails on the menu are a nice touch but overpriced at 240 THB when a beer costs 160 THB.

The 21:00 show is the strongest nightly performance, with coordinated costumes and choreography that reference classic films. Later shows maintain the quality but with a smaller cast as the evening progresses. Between shows, the bar runs as a standard go-go with individual dancers on stage.

The crowd on weeknights is mostly expats from the Sukhumvit area who treat Hollywood as their regular spot. Weekends bring more tourists, and the energy picks up accordingly. The bar fine at 750 THB is reasonable, and the overall value proposition is solid. Hollywood won't make anyone's list of Nana Plaza's most exciting bars, but it'll make plenty of lists of the most reliable.
